The article is aimed to synthesize, characterize and screening the biological activity of 2-(5-(1H-indole-2-yl)-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole-2-yl-thio)-5-(pyridine-3-yl)-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and IR, 1H-NMR, 13C NMR and Mass spectral data. The antioxidant activity of the novel compounds was screened by DPPH method. 1, 3, 4-thiadiazole with pyridine and Indole moieties have shown better antioxidant activity in present series 8 (a-g). 1, 3, 4-thiadiazole linked pyridine and Indole nucleus has shown good antioxidant activities. Among them 8b & 8c are found as potent antioxidant activity.
Keywords: Bis 1, 3, 4-thiadiazole, antioxidant  activity, pyridine, indole, Synthesis, DPPH.
