Synthesis, Characterization and Antioxidant studies of 2-Benzylthio benzimidazole derivatives

Abstract
The present study was undertaken to evaluate the antioxidant activity of some Mannich bases of  2-benzylthio benzimidazole derivatives. Mannich bases of 2-benzylthio benzimidazole were synthesized by formaldehyde, 2-benzylthio benzimidazole and different amines. The physiochemical properties of the synthesized compounds were evaluated and were established by IR, ¹HNMR, MASS spectral datas. The synthesized derivatives  showed good antioxidant activity by DPPH assay method.
