Prospective Study on Assessment of Prescribing Pattern of Various Prescription Drugs and Outcomes in Out Patient Department of Tertiary Care Hospital

A B S T R A C T
Any prescription relating to restricted drugs must be directed to a qualified pharmacist and can be authorized only by a registered veterinarian, dentist or medical practitioner. There are four parts to a drug prescription.  The percentages of cases that meet the threshold for each criterion should be calculated and summarized for presentation to the Department of tertiary Care. A report of all Drug use Evaluation programmes that is being conducted should be prepared on a quarterly basis. The current objective of study is to analyze and report evaluate drug prescription pattern of various drugs in outpatient department of tertiary care hospital. To Assess the WHO prescribing indicators in practice. Any prescription relating to restricted drugs must be directed to a qualified pharmacist and can be authorized only by a registered veterinarian, dentist or medical practitioner. The Study was aimed to analyze the drug prescription pattern of various drugs and outcomes in outpatient department of tertiary care hospital. Data are tabulated in a form that corresponds to the criteria chosen for the DUE. The percentages of cases that meet the threshold for each criterion should be calculated and summarized for presentation to the Department of Tertiary Care.
