Ethno-medicinal uses of the plants by Gonds Tribes of Kotdwara in the foothills of Garhwal Himalaya

A B S T R A C T
The tribal people living in the remote areas have special knowledge of plants. Therefore it is required to record and documentation of their knowledge before it’s lost forever. The present paper deals with ethno-medicinal uses of plant species in 26 different types of diseases by the local tribes of Gonds in the foothills of Garhwal Himalayas. The plants have been identified with their local name, botanical name and family.
