Synthesis and Characterization of α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles through a Sol- gel approach using carboxylic acid

A B S T R A C T
Uniform α- Fe2O3 nanoparticles have been prepared by sol- gel method using carboxylic acid maleic acid as chelating agent the structure and morphology of α-Fe2O3 samples were characterized using (X- Ray diffraction XRD, scanning electron microscopy SEM, FTIR and Atomic force microscopy AFM) techniques, in combination with FTIR, AFM image shows that the average diameter (82 nm) at700 Cº and FTIR spectrum confirm the formation of α- Fe2O3nanoparticles.
