Abstract
The intestinal bacteria produce some bioactive substances like tetrodotoxin, eicosa-pentanoic acid, biotin, Vitamin B12 and antibacterial substances which may benefit the host fish. There exists strongly a symbiotic relationship between fish with its constituent microflora.
