Abstract
The aim of the present study is to increase the solubility of Candesartan Cilexitil by using different hydrotropic agents. Candesartan Cilexitil acts as antihypertensive agent. In this study increasing the solubility of drug by using different hydrotropic agents like sodium benzoate, sodium acetate, sodium citrate and urea. Candesartan Cilexitil hydrotropic solid dispersions were prepared by solvent evaporation method. The evaluation results revealed that all solid dispersions comply with the specification of official pharmacopoeias and/or standard reference with respect to Physical properties, FTIR study, Precompression parameters, In vitro dissolution and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The present research was suitable to increase the solubility of water-insoluble drug and also increase the solubility of various drugs having poor solubility, low bioavailability.
