A simple, sensitive and precise reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the simultaneous estimation of Etizolam and Propranolol in pharmaceutical dosage form. The mobile phase consisted of phosphate buffer: Methanol (65:35). Flow rate 1 ml/min, and wavelength of detection at 254 nm. The retention times of Etizolam and Propranolol is 2.113 min and 3.560 min respectively. Chromatograms were run through Agilent C18 (250 ×4.6 mm, 5µ). The % RSD of the Etizolam and Propranolol were found to be should not be more than 2%. The % Recovery of the Etizolam and Propranolol at each level should not be less than 95.0% and not more than 105.0%. The method was validated in terms of linearity, precision, accuracy, limit of detection, limit of quantification. The coefficient of variance for both the drug was more than 0.999. The proposed method can be used for determination of these drugs in combined dosage forms.
